The MYDNS Micro and Small Business Grant Programme is a game-changer for small business development in Trinidad and Tobago. Over the next two (2) years, we aim to support at least 1,000 applicants per year across various sectors. The programme provides successful applicants with vital financial assistance, a 15-day Training Programme, along with Business Advisory Services and Mentorship.
Training and Skill Development
A comprehensive 15-day training development programme
Business Advisory and Mentorship Services
• The development of a viable business plan in collaboration with business advisors.
• Initial advisory sessions followed by mentorship sessions.
Grant Funding for Small Businesses and Mentorship Support
• Access of up to $20,000.00 (TTD) with mentorship support.
• No repayment or interest obligations.
Applying for the Micro and Small Business Grant
If you or your business meets the criteria below, you are eligible to apply for the MYDNS grant:
Business Eligibility:
- A Business Idea;
- A Start-up (registered but not operational);
- An Existing Business.
- Turnover less than TT$250,000 over the last 12 months (for an existing business); or
- Forecast Turnover for the first year of operation must be less than TT$250,000 (if not yet in operation).
Applicant Eligibility:
- Citizen or legal resident of Trinidad and Tobago.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Own 50% or more of the business.
- Must have a BIR number (for existing businesses).
- Must have a registered business (for start-ups and existing businesses).
- Comply with legal requirements necessary for operating their business.
- Possess relevant skills, experience, or qualifications to conduct the proposed business.
